As well as looking at the marine algae in the intertidal zone, we will look at the plants that grow above the high tide mark and those on the coastal path and how you can make use of them.
Seaweeds are amazing and can be used for food and drink, well-being, cosmetics, craft, as well as in industry. You can explore all their qualities and uses and how they can be preserved for use at a later date.
We’ll send you a reminder about where to meet, what to wear and bring with you a day or two before the course date, including details of where you can park. We usually use Whitesands beach, close to St Davids, due to it having good access to the beach, however this may vary depending on weather conditions. Please note that if we are meeting at Whitesands beach during the high season, they do not allow dogs on the beach.
There is always the possibility that the location might be changed on the day of the course due to wind direction and tides so do please check your emails.
It will be very unlikely that this course would be cancelled. We will go out in all but extreme weather and can retire to and continue at The Really Wild Emporium earlier if necessary.
If you wish to bring a dog along to any of our foraging courses, please contact us beforehand on 01437 721755 or email@example.com
We are also currently unable to take gift voucher bookings through our online system. Please contact us via one of the above methods if you wish to book using a voucher.
Duration on beach approx. 1.5 hours
